On the heels of the President's visit to Cairo this week Osama bin Laden has resurfaced and the number 2 leader of Al-Qaida Ayman al-Zawahri have made statements regarding President Obama's arrival. After you read that article you need to watch the video below:
It is absolutely amazing that the question was asked how relevant is Osama bin laden anyway? Please take your time and let this sink in. Watch the clip again if you must, re scan the link from number 2. Not withstanding the volatile balance of ideological differences that exist in middle east and forgetting that the supposed "negative view of America" in the eyes of the Muslim world was not a Bush era phenomenon I suggest that it is a irresponsible view point to minimize the radical intents of a fraction of the Muslim community.
Have we really forgotten the impact that Al-Qaida has has on our country? Will president Obama really be able to negotiate peace with Muslims and not isolate Israel? In closing I suggest that what Osama bin Laden represents is extremely relevant even if you minimize the man his viewpoint is shared by a faction and it only took a small group to accomplish this:
